Apple fixes lock screen responsiveness of iPhone 12 mini running iOS 14.2.1
Apple has released iOS 14.2.1 specifically for the iPhone 12 series. The new iOS update includes a fix for a bug that caused the lock screen to be unresponsive on the iPhone 12 mini. Apple has also brought a list of other bug fixes through the iOS 14.2.1 update that are only available for iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The update comes just a week after Apple began selling iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max in global markets.
Unlike the regular software updates that are available for various iPhone models, iOS 14.2.1 is exclusive to iPhone 12 Serie. This means that it is not available for download on older iPhone models.

The purpose of the iOS 14.2.1 release is to address some of the notable issues in the iPhone 12 series. include the recently arisen problem that was affecting the iPhone 12 mini users doing the lock screen is unresponsive. One possible solution that some affected users noted was not putting on a screen protector or case. The issue did not affect all iPhone 12 mini users.
In addition to the solution specifically aimed at iPhone 12 mini users, the iOS 14.2.1 update addresses an issue where some MMS messages were not reaching their recipients. The update also addresses the issue of sound quality issues on Made for iPhone (MFi) hearing devices when listening to audio from an iPhone.
How to download iOS 14.2.1
You can download and install the iOS 14.2.1 update on your iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro or iPhone 12 Pro Max going to Settings > general > Software update. Make sure your iPhone has sufficient charge and is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
