Apple may launch 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro laptops with M1 technology in 2021
Apple could reportedly launch new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro laptops, all with its new internal M1 chip, in 2021. According to a report, the Cupertino company might also be considering releasing a 24-inch iMac. as well as a smaller Mac Pro workstation next year. Introducing the SoC M1 at the ‘One More Thing’ event on November 10, Apple introduced revamped versions of the MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro, and Mac mini powered by its new silicon.
According to a report by IT Home, Apple could launch two MacBook Pro laptops with its new M1 chip. The new line is expected to comprise a new 14-inch MacBook Pro and a revamped 16-inch MacBook Pro. Currently, the 16-inch MacBook Pro is list at Apple Store with Intel processors. The 13-inch MacBook Pro, on the other hand, is list with Intel processor and M1 chip options. The new entry-level MacBook Pro with M1 was Announced along with Apple’s silicone-based MacBook Air and Mac mini. The report also suggests that the supposed 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros could come with a Mini-LED display. The two laptops are expected to launch around the third quarter of 2021.
The publication also hinted at the possible launch of a 24-inch iMac, which is expected to become official later this year or in the first quarter of 2021. The iMac is currently listed on apple store in two sizes: 21.5 inches and 27 inches. If the new iMac is released, it will be placed in the middle of the two existing machines. The report also suggested the launch of a smaller Mac Pro. It is expected to be about half the size of the regular Mac Pro, but with a similar design, it is not yet known whether the new workstation will replace the original or be an additional variant. There’s also no known release date for the rumored new Mac Pro.
The recently announced MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro, and Mac mini with M1 are scheduled to begin shipping on November 17.
