Apple to launch AirTags, MacBooks and a new AR device in 2021: Kuo
Apple AirTags, new MacBook models featuring Apple Silicon, and an augmented reality (AR) device are said to be the Cupertino-based company’s next products in 2021. The information was reportedly shared by renowned analyst Ming. -Chi Kuo, who also said that new AirPods and devices with mini-LED displays are also in development. Additionally, a well-known Apple insider has shared a 3D animation of the AirTags that is said to come from Apple itself. So far, the Cupertino giant has not shared any information about the aforementioned devices.
A report by MacRumors quoting analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says that Apple will launch your AirTags, a tracking device similar to Tile, this year. This will allow users to locate and keep track of their personal belongings and also receive notifications when they separate from a tagged item.
Apple AirTags has been in the news for quite some time and it looks like they will go official this year. Tipster Jon Prosser too shared a 3D animation of the rumoured AirTags on YouTube said to have been spotted by a software engineer. The animation is said to appear in iOS like AirPods and other accessories. It shows a white circular device that looks very much like the image. shared in September by the same informant. Apple AirTags is designed to support Bluetooth LE and Ultra-Wideband (UWB) connectivity. The front appears to be completely blank and the Apple logo can be seen on the metallic back.
Returning to the information shared by Kuo, Apple will also launch an augmented reality (AR) device, which could be a headset, a pair of glasses, or both, depending on the report.
The company is said to launch new AirPods this year, as well as more MacBook models with their own chip throughout the year. Apple is also said to be working on MacBook models with mini-LED displays which could be released this year. In early December last year, Kuo had shared that two new MacBook Pro models and new iPad models with mini-LED displays would be released in 2021.
