Asus Detachable Chromebook CZ1 has quietly been introduced as a 2-in-1 option for students. The laptop comes with a detachable keyboard and flip-up stand on the back. It also comes with a stylus holder that is stored inside the Asus Detachable Chromebook CZ1 case. It features a US military-grade toughness that withstands a drop from a classroom desk or dining room table. All four outer edges and corners are protected by a tough rubber trim that reduces the impact of physical shocks.

Asus Detachable Chromebook CZ1 features

Asus Detachable Chromebook CZ1 runs on Chrome OS and features a 10.1-inch WUXGA full-HD (1,920×1,200 pixels) LCD touchscreen with stylus support, 16:10 aspect ratio, 100 percent sRGB, and 400 nits maximum brightness. It is powered by the MediaTek Kompanio 500 (MT8183) processor, paired with the Arm Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. The Chromebook includes up to 4GB of RAM and offers up to 128GB of eMMC storage. The ports include a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack. The detachable keyboard offers 1.5mm key travel and has an ErgoLift design for a comfortable typing experience. Asus Detachable Chromebook CZ1 has dual 5-magnet stereo speakers and a built-in microphone. It supports Google Assistant speech recognition.

There’s an 8-megapixel world-facing camera on the back of the Asus Detachable Chromebook CZ1 and a 2-megapixel camera on the front. A USI stylus pen in the garage offers 45 minutes if used in just 15 seconds of charging. The Chromebook includes a 27 Wh battery that claims to provide up to 11 hours of battery life. It weighs about 500 grams, and the dimensions are indicated in 256.4×168.2×8.9 mm. It is certified to the US MIL-STD 810H standard military-grade and comes with the Titan C Security chip.

As mentioned, the Asus Detachable Chromebook CZ1 has a flexible stand on the back that can be adjusted to lay flat or keep it in a position where the user is comfortable. In addition to the shock-absorbing material at each of the four corners, a solid cover provides an additional layer of defense when accidental drops or mishaps occur.
