Atmanirbhar Apps Released By Mitron To Promote Indian Apps

Mitron, the homegrown short-form video sharing app, has launched Atmanirbhar Apps on Google Play as a platform to discover Indian-made apps for various services and needs. Atmanirbhar Apps seeks to boost Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative by providing a quick portal for indigenous apps for users. The application offers recommendations based on categories such as business, e-learning, news, health, shopping, games, utility, entertainment, social networks and more. As of now, Atmanirbhar Apps is only available for download on Android devices.

Atmanirbhar Apps is available for free at Google play. It allows you to explore and discover more than 100 Indian apps created by local developers. You also have the option of taking the Atmanirbhar pledge to support the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative started by Narendra Modi. The application does not require registration and, once downloaded, offers recommendations of all the Indian applications that a user can download. This includes Aarogya Setu, BHIM, Narendra Modi App, JioTV, DigiLocker, Kaagaz Scanner, and even IRCTC Rail Connect.

The list shows the size of the app, the number of Indians who have installed it, and a short description of what the particular app does. The download size of the Atmanirbhar applications is 12 MB. Currently, the platform claims to host more than 100 apps and plans to bring the total to 500 by the end of this year. The platform hosts a wide range of applications from categories such as e-government, utilities, agriculture, games, entertainment, lifestyle, e-learning, and more. It seems to allow visibility of lesser known apps like Atmanirbh Kifayat, Grocit, Jain Thela, Home Shoppy, YourQuote, Vridhi Stores, Xploree AI Keyboard, mParivahan, and more.

Clicking the Get App button next to Suggested Apps redirects you to the Google Play list for that app, from where you can download it. Plans to launch Atmanirbhar Apps on the iOS platform have not yet been announced
