Google’s Task Mate app to pay users to perform simple tasks on their phones
Google Tasks Mate is being tested in India and will allow users to earn money by doing simple tasks on their smartphones. Task Mate will provide access to a variety of tasks, posted by companies around the world. These include things like clicking on a picture of a restaurant, answering survey questions about personal preferences, or helping translate sentences from English into other languages. The app is currently in beta and is limited to select testers through a referral code system.
Users will be paid in local currency for the tasks they complete. The Task Mate test was stained by a Reddit user, like reported by 9to5Google. While the app is available for download on Google Play, you can’t use it unless you have a referral code, which is available by invitation only.
There are basically three steps to using Task Mate, as written in the app description on Google Play: find nearby tasks, complete a task to start earning, and withdraw your earnings. Tasks are classified as sitting or field tasks, but it seems that Google You can also directly request an assignment. In the app, you can see the number of completed, successful tasks, their level, and the tasks that are being reviewed.
If you have to go somewhere nearby to complete your task, the application will show you the approximate time it will take to get there. You can also see how much a task is worth, although the screenshots only seem to show the dollar price as of now. Tasks like taking photos of shop windows will reportedly help Google improve map services and run business in the area online. If you are not interested in a task or cannot complete it, you can choose to skip it.
For payment purposes, you will need to link an account with a third party processor. When you’re ready to withdraw money earned through tasks, you can register your e-wallet or account details with the payment partner in the Task Mate app, visit your profile page, and click charge. After this, you will be able to withdraw the money in your local currency, according to the description in the application. It’s unclear when Task Mate will be available for more users to try.
