Similar to iOS, there is no official method to activate the dark theme for Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides while using these services on the web. Still, by adjusting a few settings in Chrome, you can make these aforementioned apps run in dark mode. Follow these steps.

  1. Open Google Chrome on your computer and enter chrome: // flags / # enable-force-dark in the address bar.
  2. You’ll see Force dark mode for web content as disabled. Enable this option and restart Google Chrome.

Once done, you can now run Google Docs, Slides and Sheets in Google Chrome in a dark theme.
