With over 200 million active users, India is the largest market for instant messaging app Whatsapp, purchased by Facebook. The country’s most preferred chat app supports ten local Indian languages. And those languages are Hindi, Bengali, Punjabi, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, Gujarati, Kannada and Malayalam.

So think about it that how to play Whatsapp in all these languages? Here’s a step by step approach.

All you need to do to change the language into an app 

STEP 1:   Open Whatsapp.

STEP 2:  Then tap on the menu button.

STEP 3:  Then go to Settings.

STEP 4:  Then go to Chats and go to App Language.

STEP 5:  Then you will get a choice of many languages, choose your preferred language from it.

STEP 6:  Based on your phone’s capabilities, you will see all these languages: English, Hindi, Bengali, Punjabi, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, Gujarati, Kannada and Malayalam. You can choose your preferred language from these.

However, users should know that Whatsapp follows the languages of your phone. If you changed your phone language to Hindi, then Whatsapp will also be in the Hindi language. However, depending on which operating system you are using. The way to change it in Android and iOS is slightly different.

 How to change the language on ANDROID PHONES 

STEP 1:  Opening Setting App.

STEP 2:  Then tap on “Language and Input”.

STEP 3:  Open Languages

STEP 4:  Select the language you want to choose from.

STEP 5:  Then open Whatsapp, and you will see that all the text is in the same language.

 How to change the language in APPLE iPhones 

STEP 1:  Opening Setting App.

STEP 2:  Then tap on General.

STEP 3: Go to Language and Region.

STEP 4:  Then select the iPhone language.

STEP 5:  Select the language you want to choose from.

STEP 6:  Then open Whatsapp, and you will see that all the text is in the same language.
