Instagram pauses recent US search listings to stop fake election news
Facebook’s Instagram said Thursday that it was making changes to its image-sharing platform for US users to prevent the spread of misinformation surrounding the November 3 presidential election.

Earlier this month, Twitter said it will remove tweets asking people to interfere with the United States electoral process or the implementation of election results, including through violence.
Twitter recently announced several temporary steps to slow content amplification: for example, from October 20 to at least the end of the US election week, global users press “retweet.” will be directed first on the “quote tweet” button to encourage people to add their own comments.
