IPhone 12 users report a signal drop problem on multiple networks
IPhone 12 series users are reportedly facing network issues on their phones. Many users have posted complaints on social media about lost connection, especially when on the go. Most of the signal drop complaints come from users of the Verizon and AT&T networks, but T-Mobile users also brought up the problem. According to user reports, iPhone 12 series phones have experienced a drop in service in areas of adequate signal. Users say they have experienced signal drops since they started using the phone. Until now, Apple has not recognized the issue, although hundreds of users have complained on its forums.
Users have been posting to Apple Forums Y Reddit to complain about the problem of signal dropping on their iPhone 12 series units. Based on complaints, it appears that the problem is particularly significant when a user is traveling or driving. All iPhones in the series iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max are experiencing frequent signal drops. Some users have complained of experiencing network problems up to 15 times a day.
A user named JoxesCA was one of the first to report the topic in October on an Apple forum. He claimed to have first experienced this issue on his iPhone 12 Pro while driving, and switching to LTE from 5G Auto didn’t solve it either. Said he even tried resetting network settings and also hard reset on iPhone, but nothing seemed to help signal drop. “The only way to get the connection back was to turn Airplane mode on and off,” the user said on the forum.
Another iPhone 12 Pro user on Reddit He said the issue went away on its own. “In my personal case, the problem has almost disappeared in my [iPhone] 12 Pro, without clear action on my part, which is a bit frustrating because it adds to the mysterious nature of the problem and why it affects only certain phones, ”the user wrote.
Many users still complain about the signal drop problem. But it’s still unclear if the new iPhones are causing the problem or if it’s something network providers need to fix. Hopefully Apple will issue a clarification soon.
