MagSafe Duo Wireless Charger Allegedly Detected on Korea’s NRRA Site
Apple’s MagSafe Duo has been spotted on a Korean compliance site, according to reports. Apple introduced support for MagSafe wireless charging with its latest iPhone 12 lineup, which includes the iPhone 12 mini, basic iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The range of MagSafe accessories presented at the event includes a MagSafe charger, a MagSafe Duo accessory and a range of cases. While the MagSafe wireless charger and cases went on sale on October 16, pricing and availability details for the MagSafe Duo were not announced. Now, the accessory has been spotted on the compliance site of the Korea National Radio Research Agency (NRRA), suggesting that Apple is working to introduce the product in the future.

MacRumors stained MagSafe Duo wireless charger first on Korea’s NRRA certification site. The list offers little information on pricing or availability, but hints Apple working on the accessory launch. While the MagSafe Wireless Charger can charge the iPhone, the MagSafe Duo can charge the iPhone and Apple Watch simultaneously. During the iPhone 12 event, Apple said vaguely that MagSafe Duo will be available at a later date.

The MagSafe charger is priced in India of Rs. 4,500 ($ 39 in the US), so the MagSafe Duo should be a bit more expensive than that, given its additional capabilities. Recently Posted Apple Support Pages confirm that the iPhone 12 mini Supports 12W MagSafe wireless charging, while iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max supports up to 15W of charging capacity with MAgSafe chargers. Lightning accessories, such as headphones that are compatible with the MagSafe charger, will offer wireless charging speeds of just 7.5W, to meet regulatory standards.

Apple you also notice that iPhone 12 series units with cases thicker than 2.1mm may not charge properly using a MagSafe charger. It says that boxes with MagSafe support should have a uniform maximum thickness of 2.1mm, although it recommends 2.0mm thick.
