Mi AI Smart Speaker (2nd generation) was launched in China on Friday, April 9th. It has the same design and aesthetics as the previous generation model, but it does come with some improvements. The Mi AI Smart Speaker (2nd Generation) supports daisy chaining, allowing you to pair two Mi AI smart speaker models together. There are physical controls on top of the new Mi speaker, which has a square tower-like shape similar to its predecessor. The smart speaker is offered in a single colour option.

The Mi AI smart speaker (2nd generation) is priced at CNY 199 (roughly Rs. 2,300) and will start shipping from April 16 in China. The smart speaker is offered in a single white colour. Hereinafter, Xiaomi has not shared any information on the availability in India of the Mi AI (2nd generation) smart speaker.

The Mi AI (2nd generation) smart speaker comes with 2 ich magnetic speakers that offer 8W sound output. It has six microphones to better capture voice commands. There is also support for dual-band Wi-Fi and support for Bluetooth.
Xiaomi’s Mi AI smart speaker (2nd generation) has four buttons, including a microphone mute button for privacy, two buttons to change tracks, and a button to play/pause music. There is also a ring around the button that you can slide your finger over to adjust the volume.
The Mi AI (2nd generation) smart speaker comes with support for Xiaomi’s IoT platform that includes a wide variety of smart devices. Also, two of these speakers can be paired for a stereo music listening experience. The Mi AI (2nd generation) smart speaker has one-touch connectivity with the Mijia app and also voice recognition.
