Micromax teases the design of its next series phones
The design of the Micromax In series smartphone has been teased on social media just before its official launch. The latest trailer shows that the new Micromax phones will come with a gradient finish. It comes after the teaser confirming the presence of the MediaTek Helio G35 and Helio G85 SoCs in the upcoming models. Micromax has mostly disappeared from the smartphone market after reaching a high point in 2014, when a wave of Chinese brands entered the market, which are now the most popular phones in the country.
According to the new teaser posted on Twitter by Micromax India On Twitter, In-series phones will feature an “X” pattern on the back along with the gradient finish. The design looks similar to what we saw in some Honor models in the past. However, future phones will carry the In mark on the back panel for a different look.
On Tuesday, Micromax confirmed series phones with octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 and Helio G85 SoCs. The company had also brought in some smartphones with MediaTek chipsets in its first season.
According to rumors, Micromax will launch at least two models initially, one with dual rear cameras and the other with triple rear cameras. The phones are also rumored to have a battery of up to 5,000 mAh.
Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma told Gadgets 360 in an interview that the new series would be price between Rs. 7,000 and Rs. 25,000. The phones are also said to come with a near-standard Android experience.
The launch of the Micromax In series is scheduled for November 3. Meanwhile, the company has started taunting Chinese companies with its marketing campaign to take advantage of anti-China sentiment ahead of the formal announcement.
