Motorola Ibiza 5G smartphone to launch in Q1 2021
Motorola is gearing up to launch an affordable 5G smartphone codenamed Ibiza, according to a report. The smartphone is said to be powered by a new 5G-enabled Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 series SoC and has a 90Hz screen refresh rate. According to the report, Motorola Ibiza is likely to launch in the first quarter of 2021 and reveals the key specifications of the next phone, including that it will run Android 11, feature a triple rear camera setup and a 5,000 mAh battery.
According to a report by a German publication, TechnikNews in collaboration with Adam Conway from XDA Developers, the Motorola The model number of the Ibiza smartphone is XT-2137. The HD + display is expected to have a resolution of 720×1,600 pixels. The smartphone is likely to come with 4GB of RAM + 128GB of storage, although there may be other configurations as well.
Motorola Ibiza leans to have a waterdrop notch display. It is expected to have a triple rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel camera, according to the report. The smartphone will likely also have a 5-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel sensor. On the front, you can have a 13-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
The report adds that the Motorola Ibiza screen is not likely to be an OLED panel or to support HDR. As mentioned above, it is expected to run on Android 11 and have a new 5G-enabled Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 series SoC under the hood. The report says that the Motorola Ibiza will be one of the first devices with the chipset.
This is not the only smartphone Motorola is working on. Capri, Caprio and Child are code names for phones the company is said to be working on and likely to launch this year.
