Realme X7 Series Launch Confirmed in India for 2021

The Realme X7 series will launch in India next year, as confirmed by CEO Madhav Sheth on Twitter. The lineup comprises two phones, Realme X7 and Realme X7 Pro, which were launched in China in early September as relatively affordable 5G smartphones. Now, Sheth has shared that the company’s plan is to “democratize 5G technology in 2021” in India with the Realme X7 series. As of now, there is no set date for the launch, but the Realme X7 series can be expected in the first quarter of 2021.

Madhav Sheth, CEO of Realme India and Europe tweeted that the company was the first to bring 5G smartphones to India with Realme X50 Pro, released in February of this year. Added that Realme X7 The series “will democratize 5G technology in 2021.” Realme X7 series includes Realme X7 and Realme X7 Pro And presumably both phones will hit the Indian market. While there is no set date for the launch of the two phones in India, they can be expected in the first quarter or at least the first half of 2021.

 

In September, rumors A Realme X7 Lite started showing up and the phone was allegedly spotted on a TENAA listing with the model number RMX2173. As the name suggests, the phone is expected to be a more affordable, toned down version of the Realme X7, but the company hasn’t shared any information about it.

Realme X7, Realme X7 Pro specifications

Both phones come with dual-SIM support and run on Android 10 with Realme UI on top. Realme X7 features a 6.4-inch full-HD + AMOLED screen (1,080×2,400 pixels), while Realme X7 Pro features a 6.55-inch full-HD + AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate. The vanilla Realme X7 is powered by the eight-core Dimensity 800U SoC and the Pro variant comes with the eight-core Dimensity 1000+ SoC. You get up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage on Realme X7 and up to 256GB on Realme X7 Pro.

In terms of cameras, Realme X7 comes with a 64-megapixel primary shooter with an f / 1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel sensor with an f / 2.3 ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel black and white portrait sensor with an f / 2.4 lens and a 2 megapixel macro shooter with f / 2.4 aperture. On the front, there is a 32-megapixel sensor with an f / 2.5 lens. Realme X7 Pro comes with pretty much the same setup with a few minor differences.

Realme X7 is backed by a 4,300 mAh battery, while Realme X7 Pro is backed by a 4,500 mAh battery. Both support 65W fast charging.
