Redmi Note 9 Pro gets Android 11 update in India
Redmi Note 9 Pro has started receiving the Android 11 update in India. The new update is initially limited to select users, although it may reach all Redmi Note 9 Pro users in the coming days. Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 9 Pro in March, along with the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. The smartphone originally came with MIUI 11 based on Android 10. However, it received an update to MIUI 12 in September. That update brought a list of changes, including a revamped interface.
Xiaomi confirmed that the Android 11 update for the Redmi Note 9 Pro. It has been initially implemented for some users. However, it is likely to reach all users in the coming days.
According to users posting details on Twitter, the latest Redmi Note 9 Pro update is 2.3GB in size and is based on MIUI firmware version V188.8.131.52.RJWINXM. The change log does not provide any details about the changes available through the update. However, it shows that the new version of the software is available through a stable channel.
Before the latest update, the Redmi Note 9 Pro received a MIUI firmware version V184.108.40.206.QJWINXM in September. That update brought MIUI 12 but it was based on Android 10.

The new update brings the Android 11 operating system to the Redmi Note 9 Pro that Google thrown out at the beginning of this year. However, it doesn’t seem to have any new Android security patches.
