Redmi Smart TV X Series with Android Price and specifications

Redmi Smart TV X Series has been launched in India by Xiaomi, with prices starting at Rs. 32,999 for the 50-inch variant. The LED TV range is available in three sizes: 50-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch, and all variants have 4K HDR LED displays. The Redmi Smart TV X series works with Android TV 10 for smart connectivity and supports HDR up to 12-bit Dolby Vision format. Like Xiaomi’s Mi range of televisions, the Redmi Smart TV X series also comes with the PatchWall user interface in addition to the Android TV user interface.

Redmi Smart TV X series price in India, availability

The X Series is affordably priced compared to other televisions with similar features. The Redmi Smart TV X series is available in three sizes, priced at Rs. 32,999 for the X50, Rs. 38,999 for the X55 and Rs. 57,999 for the top-end X65 variant. All televisions are 4K HDR LED models and have similar specifications and features, save for the obvious size differences.

The Redmi Smart TV X series goes on sale on March 25 and will be available to buy through Amazon, Xiaomi’s online store, as well as the Mi Home and Mi Studio offline stores. In the coming weeks, Xiaomi will also make the TV range available in other offline Mi partner stores. The TVs will face competition in the affordable segment from brands like AmazonBasics, Hisense, and Vu, which also offer large-screen Ultra-HD LED TVs for less than Rs. 40,000.

The televisions will also adopt the Mi TV range, although a change in brand positioning in the future could mean that the Redmi and Mi brands will not compete with each other in the same price segments. Redmi could focus on the affordable segments, while the Mi brand could focus on mid-range and premium TVs like Mi QLED TV 4K.

Redmi Smart TV X Series Specifications and Features

The Redmi Smart TV X series has impressive specs and features for the price, in particular support for the Dolby Vision and HDR10 + formats for high dynamic range content. The TV also touts Reality Flow and Vivid Picture Engine as features intended to enhance the viewing experience. Various sound formats are also supported, including Dolby Audio for the built-in speakers, Dolby Atmos pass-through via eARC, and DTS Virtual: X.

Television works Android TV 10, with the standard Android TV launcher and access to Google Assistant. Like other Xiaomi’s TVs, the PatchWall UI on the Redmi TV X series is also accessible, which is Xiaomi’s curated and content-centric UI that is popular on its Mi TV range. There’s also Google Chromecast built-in, and the Redmi TV range is the company’s first to have the Mi Home app for TV-compatible IoT products.

Other specs include a 64-bit quad-core Mediatek processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage for applications and application data, and automatic low latency mode (ALLM) for better performance with games. The TVs have three HDMI 2.1 ports with one compatible with eARC, two USB ports, dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity, 3.5mm audio and optical connectivity, and Bluetooth 5.0.
