The specifications of the Samsung Galaxy M42 have been seen in online listings. The next phone in the Galaxy M range has now been seen on the Wi-Fi Alliance and Bluetooth SIG list. The Bluetooth SIG listing indicates that the Samsung Galaxy M42 may be released as a renowned Samsung Galaxy A42 5G model in some markets. The Bluetooth listing also confirms that the phone may be the first in the Galaxy M series to support 5G connectivity. Apart from this, the Wi-Fi Alliance listing also reveals some key specs of the phone.

The rumored Samsung Galaxy M42 has been seen on Wi-Fi Alliance website with model number SM-M426B. The listing reveals that the phone will run on Android 11 and will support dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz). Also listed to support Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac connectivity. Other than this, the Wi-Fi Alliance listing reveals little else and only hints that the Samsung Galaxy M42 is a work in progress and may launch in the near future.
Samsung Galaxy M42 has also been stained on the Bluetooth SIG site. This phone appears under the product name Samsung Galaxy A42 5G, but it comes under the model number SM-M426B / DS. This suggests that the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G may be launched as the Samsung Galaxy M42 in some markets. This means that the Samsung Galaxy M42 can support 5G connectivity, the first in the Galaxy M range to do so. The Bluetooth SIG listing also suggests support for Bluetooth version 5.0.
The phone has been seen on various certification sites, including BIS, hinting that the Samsung Galaxy M42 may also launch in India. The phone is tipped to have a large 6,000mAh battery and it comes with 128GB of on-board storage. It is also speculated that the new Samsung Galaxy M42 smartphone will come with a 64-megapixel main camera.
