Samsung redesigns Galaxy Store and focuses more on games
Samsung has redesigned its Galaxy Store to focus more on games. The new design aims to allow gamers to discover, navigate and play more games. It also seeks to offer a curated list of game recommendations and best gaming perks. Players can also download Fortnite through the Galaxy Store. The popular Battle Royale title was pulled from the Apple and Google app stores recently due to a legal battle over revenue sharing. Samsung claims that the Galaxy Store is currently the only mobile app store in the United States from which you can download Fortnite.
The renewed Galaxy Store It has a minimalist interface with only two tabs on the home screen: Games and Applications. Previously, the app had multiple tabs like Home, Explore, Games, and even Exclusives. Galaxy Store now also offers exclusive game previews, promotions, and rewards. Samsung rewards keep accumulating as you continue to level up in your game. These points can be redeemed in the next game that the user downloads, Samsung explained in a Press release.
The Applications section claims to have personalized recommendations based on your Samsung Galaxy phone. This is different for each user and is based on their download patterns. Samsung has also partnered with companies to offer exclusive app offers and features. For example, the Adobe Acrobat Reader app on the Galaxy Store offers a 7-day free trial, while the Touch of Modern app offers a 10 percent store credit on all purchases. The Weather Channel app on the Galaxy Store offers exclusive themes, shortcuts, and also a custom calendar.
