Vivo X60 5G series launch confirmed for December 29
The Vivo X60 5G series will launch on December 29, the company announced. Vivo shared a poster of the upcoming smartphone series on Weibo, where the back panels of the phones are visible. Vivo X60 and Vivo X60 Pro are expected to be the two models in the series. The Vivo X60 series will be powered by the new Samsung Exynos 1080 SoC. The smartphones in the series will also have the Night Vision 2.0 camera mode, as mentioned in the poster.
Vivo shared a poster on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo, previewing the next vivo X60 Serie. The phone will feature an ultra-stable microhead camera sensor. Vivo he also said that the camera setup was developed jointly with the German optical company Zeiss.
The poster shows the back panel of the Vivo X60 5G phones, along with the rear camera setup. The teased image suggests that the Vivo X60 Pro 5G will have a quad rear camera setup, while the Vivo X60 5G will have a triple rear camera setup. The third phone in the series could be Vivo X60s 5G, as a phone with the same name was stained on a Bluetooth SIG listing in July.
The series will be powered by the Exynos 1080 octa-core SoC from Samsung. The chip based on 5nm EUV processes with 5G support was recently sleepless by the South Korean tech giant. It has a 4 + 3 + 1 core configuration and comes with support for high refresh rate displays. It can support a camera sensor up to 200 megapixels. The Vivo X60 5G series will run OriginOS out of the box, which is Vivo’s new skin on top of the Android operating system.
A forecaster speculated that the starting price of the Vivo phones will be CNY 3,500 (roughly Rs. 39,400). So far, Vivo has not clarified whether the Vivo X60 5G series will launch outside of China or not.
